Nonsense talk driving me crackers!

Conna June 25, 2013 16:52
I''m prepared to be shot down in flames for this but does anyone else get frustrated and bored with the nonsense statements and questions from their child? It is non stop (to not speak for 1 minute would be a massive achievement) and fairly incoherent. There is no ignoring as she is in your personal space until she gets attention, you give attention and this sends her into over drive with questions etc. I know this is part of her special needs and is in no way intentional. It''s just some days the lack of her awareness of others, constant babbleing and inability to have a two way basic conversation drives me crackers. Sorry prob just a moan unless anyone has any great suggestions.

I get this from my daughter and it drives me potty. She's asd with speech and language issues and I feel so guilty when I want to scream at her to shut up. Is there any particular time which is worse? My daughter is at her worst on the way home from school. It's a constant bombardment of noise from pick up till we get in the house. My early bird trainers encouraged me to think of it as her transitioning from school to home and to zone out if possible. General she's not requiring a response just someone to bounce sound off. So that's what I do as much as I can! !

I'm with youWe used to call it the 24 hr blossom channel- headlines every minute!I don't think you should feel guilt around dreams of sealing up their gobs with zips... It's the fact you still are there when they are whittering that's important even if you're plugged into iPod and sitting on your hands

Oh Starlight that's exactly what it's like....AAAAGGGHHH:'What's for supper?''What's that?'What's six times six?''What's for supper?''what time is it?''What's for supper?''Can we go out for supper?''What's six times six?''What's that?''What's for supper?''Can we have takeaway?''What's six times six?'and on, and on, and on....I love the idea of a zip for her mouth - do you think I could use DLA to pay for it? Or should I be able to get a direct payment to cover the surgery... or even better... should it be on the NHS???No Conna - you are not the only one driven up the wall by it!
