Happy Birthday Adoption UK!

Simon January 15, 2021 15:05

Happy 50th birthday Adoption UK from Stuart & Simon (adoptive dads) and Chelsea & William (adopted teens).

We’re loving the makeover, as Craig Revel Horwood would say, F A B U L O U S!

Thank you for all you have done for our family; always there when we need you. A special thank you for your can do spirit and determination to succeed and continuing to reach out and support adoptive families during the last 10th months of Covid-19; fantastic.

Mustn’t forget all the volunteers still supporting locally too, especially those in our region here in Coventry & Warwickshire. Thank you.

Really looking forward to next weeks “festival of families”. Truly a jam-packed week of events. Can't wait for Thursday's webinar with the world famous “DDP” founder, Mr Dan Hughes (will he be doing book signings?) The magic show and “Singo” look fun too.

Here’s to your next fifty glorious years.

Dear Simon, Stuart, Chelsea and William,

Thank you so much for your post - it really made us smile and I passed it on to our team.

We hope you enjoy the Festival of Families and Superhero Saturdays and we have some great activities and webinars coming up throughout the year - it's non stop!

Do take care of yourselves and we hope to see you all when it is safe to do so in the future.

With best wishes,

Charlotte

I would also like to say a massive thank you to Adoption UK! Through your network meetings I have met wonderful people and learned a lot. I really appreciate your lobbying on behalf of the adoptive community. I think Adoption UK has been instrumental in that there is so much more knowledge about adoption in the public realm in the UK than in many (all?) other countries without a national organisation like Adoption UK. Fantastic work!

It’s a long time since I was a member but AUK has played such a huge part in my life - my daughter was featured in CWW - I read the magazine avidly for years - I went to a local group a few times - and I got so much information recommendations and expert advice from the message boards over any years as my children grew up - never attended the AGM but always intended to. Keep up the good work! Happy Birthday!
